D'espairsRay was a Japanese Visual Kei Rock band that formed back in 1999 and disbanded in 2011. They have toured Europe and North America and releaseed their albums in both areas. They also performed at the Wacken Open Air festival in 2006. The band's decision to disband was because of Hizumi's throat condition that rendered him not being able to recover. They are still an exceptional band to check out.
