Gackt

Gackt is a Japanese rock singer born in Okinawa, Japan although he was raised in Kyoto. He was formerly in the band Cains:Feel and the visual kei rock band Malize Mizer. He started his solo career in 1999 though he has been active since 1994. He started to learn the piano at age 3, and has credited Chopin for his learning and appreciation in classical music.

His song Redemption is the theme song for the video game franchise Square Enix's game Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII.
