Ellegarden is a Japanese rock band that formed in December 1998. Ellegarden sounds more like an alternative rock band with the sounds of the American Rock band Sum 41.
Ellegarden had performed at numerous music festivals in 2006 which included Fuji Rock, Summer Sonic, Nano Mugen Festival, and Rising Sun Rock Festival. They had their final tour with the American band Allister. The band members went on hiatus in 2008, though all the members parted their separate ways, they formed their own new bands. Takeshi Hosomi formed the band The Hiatus. Shin'ichi Ubukata was the leader of Ellegard but moved and formed the new band, Nothing's Carved in Stone. Yuichi Takada joined the band Meaning. Lastly, Hirotaka Takahashi formed the band called Scars Borough.
