L'Arc~En~Ciel is a Japanese Pop Rock/Alternative Rock band that formed in 1991. They were based in Osaka, Japan. They were originally a Visual Kei band but that changed when they were signed to their major label and debuted in 1994. The band is also known for their hit Ready Steady Go, the opening theme for the anime Fullmetal Alchemist.

The band debuted in North American at the anime convention Otakon in 2004. They were the first Japanese band to perform at the area located their named 1st Mariner Arena.
