The Hiatus is a Japanese rock band that formed in 2009 by the vocalist Takeshi Hosomi who was originally from the band Ellegarden. The Hiatus initially started as Takeshi's solo project and other members were gathered when the first album was ready to be recorded. Masasucks from the band Fullscratch, Ueno Koji from Thee Michelle Gun Elephant, Takashi Kashikura is from the band Toe, and the pianist Horie is from Neil & Iraiza.
