KAT-TUN is a Japanese boy pop/rock band under Johnny & Associates. They formed in 2001.
Their name was derived by the first letter of each member's last name. Their 6th member left the band in 2010 Jin Akanishi. Many of their singles and DVD releases have debuted at Number one on the Oricon charts.
